Do This One Thing and Raise Your College GPA

I’ve always found that it’s the simplest things that change my routine for the better.

People always tell you to drink more water, get more sleep, and meditate–but does any of that actually help? I’m here to tell you the one thing I implemented into my routine that changed the way I look at academics and earned me a 4.0 GPA this past semester.

I was always the kind of student who would roll out of bed fifteen minutes before class with only enough time to brush my teeth and get changed, nothing else. I was lazy, sluggish, and had no motivation to succeed. The only thing I could think of in class was when I could go back to my bed and take a nap. I realized that my grades were dropping faster than my motivation and I wondered what I could change to improve my academic performance.

It was then that I decided to implement a solid and timely morning routine. I was to wake up every day at 8am, eat breakfast while I drink coffee, and study.

It was then that I decided to implement a solid and timely morning routine.

This may not seem like a dramatic change, but most sustainable shifts aren’t meant to be. The change in my mindset that followed the transition in my routine was almost overwhelming, and it was all positive.

Yeah, it sucked a to wake up at 8am every morning at first, but it was so nice to walk out my door to the library and feel the sun on my face and hear the birds chirping. Getting my blood flowing and allowing myself to take my time before my classes created a drive to succeed and appreciation for my hard work that wasn’t there before.

Wake up early, study intentionally, and change your GPA completely!
